Before an entry is considered valid, Hanscom FCU must have successfully withdrawn the cost of the ticket from the Hanscom FCU account designated by the purchaser. Funds will be withdrawn in the order in which the entries are received and a unique ticket number will be assigned to the ticket. Depositing a ticket or any other material in connection with the raffle in the federal mail is a violation of federal law and may lead to criminal penalties.

Hanscom FCU Charitable Foundation reserves the right to refuse an entry and/or disqualify a winner, in its sole discretion, if it determines that any of these Official Rules are not met.

Drawing to be held when the Hanscom FCU Charitable Foundation has sold all Three thousand (3,000) tickets or on January 17, 2023, whichever comes first. The drawing will be executed by G.T. Reilly and Company, an independent agent. Raffle proceeds, minus the cost of the prize, applicable state taxes, advertising and/or other expenses, will go to Veterans Inc.

Winner need not be present to win. The winner will be notified by email or phone within three (3) days of the drawing. If, within fourteen (14) days from the first attempted contact, the winner does not respond, another winner will be selected.

To claim the prize, winner must be at least 18 years of age or older, legal resident of the United States and a member of Hanscom Federal Credit Union. All applicable taxes are the responsibility of the winner based on the value of the prize. The value of the prize will be treated as ordinary income to the winner for federal and state income tax purposes. The winner may be required to pre-pay a portion of the tax liability prior to receiving the prize. The Internal Revenue Service takes the position that no portion of the ticket price will qualify as a charitable donation for federal tax purposes.

Proceeds from this raffle support Veterans Inc. If fewer than five hundred (500) tickets are sold, the Hanscom FCU Charitable Foundation may, at its option, cancel the drawing. In that event, funds will be returned to the purchasers through a deposit into the account and share of which the ticket was purchased.

No portion of the Raffle ticket price is considered a charitable contribution for purposes of tax deductibility. Net proceeds raised by Hanscom FCU Charitable Foundation benefit Veterans Inc. The estimated percentage of the ticket price benefiting The veterans inc. is 66.67%.

In the event of a dispute regarding the rules or operation of this raffle, the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts will apply. Void where prohibited by law.
