Littleton, MA (May 31, 2022) – Hanscom Federal Credit Union’s Human Resources organization has announced key changes to its teams, integrating the credit union’s mission, vision, and values into all it does to attract, retain, and develop best-in-class talent for the entire organization.

Hanscom FCU’s Human Resources and Learning & Development teams have evolved over the last two and a half years to support the organization in achieving the credit union’s mission of being the trusted advisor that people turn to for unbiased financial guidance. A strong culture exists today with the integration of this mission into the organization’s rewards and recognition programs, a recently retooled performance management process, and progress toward greater diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

“Our next step was to elevate two key members of our teams to leadership positions so that we can continue to build upon the work we’ve done to remain a purpose-driven organization for not just our employees, but for our members,” said Kris Pender, Hanscom FCU’s Chief Human Resources Officer. “I’m excited to announce that Victoria Freese has been promoted to Assistant Vice President, Human Resources and Mary Romprey to that of Assistant Vice President, Management & Leadership Development. Tori and Mary have exemplified our five values of Members First, Integrity, Teamwork, Innovation, and Empathy during their tenure with us.”

Victoria Freese

Victoria Freese

Freese began her career at Hanscom FCU in 2014, first working as a Teller Intern at the Main Office on Hanscom AFB during summers and college breaks. Upon graduation from Elon University in Elon, North Carolina, with a B.A. in Psychology, magna cum laude, Freese joined the credit union’s Human Resources department as a full-time HR Assistant in 2017. Over the last five years, she has been promoted to roles of increasing responsibility, including her previous position as Senior Human Resources Business Partner, a promotion she received in August 2021. In her role as Assistant Vice President, Human Resources, Freese will be focusing on the continuing development of Hanscom FCU’s rewards and recognition initiatives, as well as the ongoing integration of the credit union’s mission, vision, and values into all HR processes.

Mary Romprey

Mary Romprey

Romprey, who holds a B.A. in Psychology and an M.A. in Mental Health Counseling, began a career in social services before transitioning to training and development in the education sector. She joined the credit union’s Human Resources organization in 2020 as the Senior Director of Learning & Development, a role she held until her recent promotion to Assistant Vice President, Management & Leadership Development. In her new role, Romprey will be furthering her reach by leading the design, implementation, and evaluation of management and leadership development programs, partnering with stakeholders across the organization to develop and deliver comprehensive leadership and management education and coaching experiences.

“I’m delighted that Tori and Mary will be moving into these crucial leadership roles at Hanscom FCU,” said Pender, “where they can coach our employees to achieve our mission to be the trusted advisor that people turn to for unbiased financial guidance. We’re committed to helping our members achieve financial wellness, and it’s exciting that Tori and Mary will be there from the very beginning of that member journey.”
