I did not know, for example, that I need a "pension verification letter." It was not mentioned in the application. Only after we supplied all the information necessary and thought we were done did we find out we needed that.

I was there to redeem a few Savings Bonds and accepted her recommendation to open a 19 month CD. While rates are low everywhere, Jane pointed out the CD was double the high yield interest rate.
