Reset Personalization

How to Reset

If your personalization interest is outdated or incorrect, you can easily reset it by clicking the Reset button above. After you reset, the pages on the site will return to their default displays until a new interest is established.

When to Reset

Personalization will try to present more information about the topic you are most interested in. When your interests change, personalization may need to be reset to reflect what you care about now. There's no limit to the number of times you can reset!

Enable/Disable Personalization

Your current setting for personalization for the site is

On or Off?

If you leave your personalization setting in the on position, then the site will work with you to show you the content that you have an interest in. That’s as far as it goes. We can’t identify you personally and we won’t share any personalization data beyond the credit union’s web management.

If you turn personalization off by clicking the setting, then the site stops keeping track of what you view. But because personalization is based on cookies and because web browsers allow you to clear your cookies, it’s possible that your choice to turn off personalization is wiped out when your cookies are cleared. If that happens, you might need to redo turning off personalization.

We Suggest Leaving Personalization On

We think this is a great feature and will benefit you as you visit our site. Give it a try for a while and let us know what you think.

If you’d rather pass on personalization, just click to toggle the setting from on to off.

About HFCU.org Personalization

One way that we try to make HFCU.org more valuable to you is by showing more content about topics that you’ve viewed before on the site.

What Does Personalization Mean?

As you click around the site with personalization turned on, a piece of code called a cookie keeps track of the topics that you’ve viewed. So, if you look at several pages about mortgage loans, then the cookie counts those and suggests that we show you more information about mortgages. A wide range of your interests are included in personlized content.

What if you turn off personalization? You’ll see all our pages without any emphasis on certain topics.
